For many of us, shopping for kids toys can often be a daunting and an overwhelming task which we would rather prefer someone else do. There may be several factors for our apprehensiveness to shopping for baby toys – Lack of knowledge, selection dilemmas and cost issues not to mention the naivety on the likes and dislikes of the child and whether he or she will warm up to the toy that we buy.

One can argue that taking the kid along when buying him or her gifts can solve the problem but in that case you are spoiling the element of surprise that gifts are meant to be. Moreover, when you let kids choose their gifts, they may choose something so very flashy and expensive that it may well be out of your pocket’s range or one that you feel is inappropriate for the kid.
